For each week, you receive a meal plan with recipes for 3 meals a day and snacks. Thanks to the meal prep option you can spend as little or as much time in the kitchen as you'd like. We understand that people who are busy still want to enjoy delicious and healthy meals, so we make sure that you can enjoy these on the go as well. All of our meal plans are nutritionist-approved and include 100% plant-based ingredients (mostly whole, unprocessed foods). They're refined sugar free and most of them are also naturally gluten-free (and if not, suggestions for alternatives are provided).
Alongside your weekly meal plans, you'll also get detailed and printer-friendly shopping lists. The detailed shopping lists include notes on which alternatives to opt for if you can't find a certain ingredient and tips on how to make it more affordable. The lists are divided into sections so you can easily find the items in stores.
The workout guides include workouts that you can easily do at home. We believe in working out to feel good, enjoy yourself and reduce stress. There will be suggestions for all levels and especially for those who don't usually like to exercise.
Veganism is about more than just the food we eat. The Vegan Reset includes a private podcast discussing topics ranging from health and nutrition to self care, ethics and a vegan lifestyle. You can listen while you're on a walk, in your car, at breakfast or whenever you like. (Transcripts are provided for those who are deaf or hard of hearing.)
Most of the recipes are naturally gluten-free since so many unprocessed plant-based foods like fruits, vegetables and legumes are gluten-free, but whenever an ingredient is not (like couscous or whole wheat pasta), suggestions for alternatives will be provided.
The meal plans include limited amounts of soy in the form of soy sauce, tempeh or tofu. Suggestions for alternatives will be provided for those will allergies.
The overall cost of your weekly groceries will depend on which staple foods you already have, where you live and where you shop. We do provide plently of money-saving tips in the shopping list notes, so be sure to read those carefully.
The servings are for 1 person, but they can easily be doubled or tripled if you're cooking for more than 1.
Thanks to the meal prep options, you won't have to spend much time in the kitchen at all. If you love cooking every meal the day of, however, you can absolutely do that as well.
Yes, absolutely! We provide metric measurements on the shopping lists to make it easier for you to buy the right amounts.
Yes! As you may know, going vegan is often a process and you'll continue to learn new things along the way. In the past, we've had vegans join because they wanted the community support and/or because they wanted to eat more unprocessed foods.
Hi! I'm Kim-Julie, the founder of Best of Vegan and the Vegan Reset. Before going vegan overnight years ago, I was a junk food addict, a chain smoker and not the most active person (to say the least!). I was the last person anyone (including myself) expected to ever go vegan. So, if you love meat, cheese and eggs, trust me, I understand. Hi! I'm Sam, native New Yorker and Health enthusiast. I'm a longtime personal trainer and nutritionist who's passionate about veganism. I transitioned to a plant-based diet slowly over many years and it's changed my life completely. Both of my kids, Kuon who's almost 8, and Aselah who's 6, were born and raised vegan (fun fact: they're actually third generation vegans on their dad's side.)
